Maddison breaks his silence following Leicester City’s hammer blow amid Arsenal speculation.
Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United have all lately been linked with a summer move for Leicester City playmaker James Maddison.

James Maddison has spoken out about the agony of relegation, giving an impassioned message to Leicester City fans on social media.

Despite a last-day victory over West Ham United, the Foxes were unable to avoid relegation and finished 18th in the Premier League, relegating them to the Championship next season. In recent months, star midfielder Maddison has been strongly linked with a transfer away from the King Power Stadium, with Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, and Newcastle United all mentioned as possible destinations.

Now, the England international has resorted to Instagram to express his feelings about the 2022/23 season to Leicester supporters. “Absolutely devastated to be relegated from the Premier League,” said the hit caption.

“I’ve taken (sic) some time to reflect on the season’s outcome, and to be honest, it doesn’t make it any easier.” This will hurt for a long time and will most likely haunt us all for the rest of our lives.

“But that’s life, and it’s about how you recover from setbacks and failures, and unfortunately, that’s exactly what this season was… a failure.” We should never have been in this situation with the talent we have.

“Maddison is 100% leaving the club,” Romano stated on the Here We Go Podcast. Let me say Newcastle because they adore the guy, they truly value him, they are back in the race, and he is another player admired by Arsenal, these two teams are interested in Maddison’s condition, and I’m sure there will be a battle for this player.”
