‘I feel really low,’ says James Maddison in a sincere apology to Leicester supporters following a costly error in the defeat to Bournemouth.

Leicester City’s James Maddison has apologized to supporters after an egregious error cost them the game against Bournemouth.

The Foxes are in grave danger after a 1-0 defeat to fellow Premier League strugglers Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, with Philip Billing scoring the game’s lone goal in the first half.
And it occurred after Maddison made a terrible back ball that was easily intercepted, with the Cherries rewarding the Leicester playmaker with a goal.

The Englishman collapsed and buried his face in his hands, and his error lost Leicester the game.

With the managerless team 19th in the standings, it gave a critical victory to one of their relegation rivals, and Maddison was devastated at the end.

“It was a really difficult one to take,” he remarked. I’m feeling extremely low right now.

“We knew it was a big game and didn’t try to disguise it in any way.” We’ve put forth a lot of effort. I made a careless error that cost us. I am so low.

“I’m always eager to perform well for the team.” I attempted to eliminate it and not do too much to compensate.

“I am depressed and sad in defeat because my mistake cost the team.” We must pick ourselves up and try again.

“I’ll be sad tonight and probably tomorrow, but we’ll resume on Monday.” It is critical that we maintain our good attitude.

“We’ll do our best to rally the troops.” I apologize to the fans today; I thought they were fantastic.

“It’s not going well for us in terms of results, and our performances aren’t quite there yet, but it’s critical that the fans stick with us.”

“We still have a long way to go.” It’s cramped down there. Today, I would have preferred to win. It wasn’t a life or death situation. There are still plenty of points up for grabs.”

Leicester are in a precarious situation in the Premier League following the firing of Brendan Rodgers last Sunday.

Jesse Marsch is due to take over, having been fired by Leeds earlier this season, and the American will have little time to apply his principles.

The Foxes have eight Premier League games remaining and are only two points from safety.

However, with so many clubs out of form, who stays in the top flight this season may be a lottery.

Even if Maddison handed up the goal, Leicester caretaker manager Adam Sadley stated that the team did not deserve to defeat Bournemouth.

“My message to the players is to stick together because we can only get through this together.”

“There was a better response in the second half and we created chances but we weren’t able to get through a strong Bournemouth defence.”
