The potential Michael Beale Rangers sack timeline as pundit points to ‘convenient’ time for exit
The Ibrox boss is under serious pressure and could leave the club
Kenny Miller has told Michael Beale he is in last chance saloon when they travel to St Mirren next weekend and nobody would argue if he was sacked if they lose that game.
There’s not many people offering him support to stay at present but Miller has previously suggested that he didn’t think sacking Beale was the real answer to all the club’s problems. But the former Rangers frontman believes the international break could be a ‘convenient’ time for the Ibrox club to axe Beale and begin to look at their next manager options.
It’s unclear who that would be with no names jumping out to take on the role and the Ibrox side would potentially need some time to find another manager. With St Mirren away being the last game for two weeks for Rangers, it could be an opportunity for them to find a new coach that can come in and try and salvage the season for the Ibrox men.
He told BBC Sportsound: “I would love to say no at this moment in time, but I think Michael has said it there – three losses in seven games, that is not the form that is going to win you leagues. It is a long way back. I don’t think his time is up though. I think the club will reflect and obviously the results have not been good enough, but there is a healthy injury list.
“I’m sure the international break can’t come quick enough for Michael Beale and his medical staff. I’m sure they would have been hoping to come through the next wee bit unscathed, but now that is not the case. They are going to have to bounce back.
“But there is absolutely no doubt that in Paisley Rangers need to take three points, and if they don’t think anyone would have any arguments if there was decisions made. Going into the international break is always a convenient time for clubs that are in these sorts of situations and it maybe makes them think harder about what they are doing, because they do have time.”
