Magic Johnson Sends A Message To Commander Fans After Big Win

It’s the dawn of a new era for the Washington Commanders, and the fans know it.

The results have yet to be there on the field, as Ron Rivera’s team has alternated wins with losses, but they’ve shown glimpses of promising football more often than not.

That’s why the fans decided to hit the road and join their team when they faced the Atlanta Falcons, and they even flooded Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

New team owner Magic Johnson took to Twitter to show his appreciation to the fans who went out of their way to support their team in a hostile environment, stating that they even had more fans than the Falcons at their own home.

The Commanders stole a much-needed win against a beatable team.

And while Arthur Smith’s team blew plenty of opportunities to even things up late in the game, they were able to hold their ground, force mistakes, and make them work hard for every yard near the end zone.

Sam Howell has looked solid at times, and the Commanders have some interesting pieces to build around.

They’re currently sitting on a 3-3 record and the third spot in the NFC East, trailing the Philadelphia Eagles (5-1) and Dallas Cowboys (3-2).

Rivera’s team is trying to make a playoff push, and while it won’t be easy at all, having their fans out there to support them can make a big difference, especially in road games.

Their next chance to do so will come next Sunday when they face the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium for a must-win divisional clash.
