Murray is happy to stay a Rabbitoh
True Blue Cameron Murray will remain a South Sydney Rabbitohs until the end of 2028.
The 25-year-old has signed a three-year extension to remain with the club he made his NRL debut with in Round Eight 2017.
Nearly 150 games later the Mascot Jets junior said he couldn’t see himself anywhere else.
“This club has always been home to me,” Murray told rabbitohs.com.au
“It was a no brainer for me to extend my contract here and I’m grateful to be able to represent South Sydney, our members and fans every day.
“I’m really grateful to the club for putting its trust in me to be a part of our next five years.
“It’s my responsibility now to repay that trust with my performances on the field and my actions off the field.”
Alongside his great service to the famous cardinal and myrtle jersey, where he has been captain for the past two seasons, Murray has been a loyal servant to the Westpac NSW Blues.
He has played 13 games from 2019 through to all three games in this year’s State of Origin series.
Murray also scored five tries in five World Cup games for the Kangaroos last year, including the 30-10 win over Samoa in the Final.
The talented back rower is currently at 146 NRL games in his seventh season of first grade – 43 of those as captain.
He was initially off contract at the end of 2025 before today’s announcement.
