Buffalo Bills make big decision on Damar Hamlin heading into Sunday night’s return to Cincinnati
When Damar Hamlin’s Buffalo Bills meet the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, his incredible and inspirational narrative will finally come full circle.
After all, the safety and former Pittsburgh Central Catholic standout had a heart collapse on the field in Cincinnati earlier this year, and the entire country watched as he was taken to a nearby hospital.
It’s astonishing how well Hamlin has recovered to play, and his return to Cincinnati will undoubtedly be emotional. Adam Schefter of ESPN, however, reports that although Hamlin will be present, he won’t be wearing a suit for the game.
Early on Sunday morning, Schefter stated that Hamlin “is not expected to be active” in the match.
Schefter stated, “This is not unusual nor unexpected, as Hamlin has played in just one game this season—against Miami—when Buffalo safety Jordan Poyer was hurt.” Right now, Hamlin is all about stats. At the moment, he supports Poyer, Micah Hyde, Taylor Rapp, and Cam Lewis, Buffalo’s top four safeties.
