Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce, and Trader Joe’s drama were explained
Travis Kelce created quite a lot of hoopla when he went to Trader Joe’s this week to buy ice cream, but was it really for Taylor Swift?
For anyone who’s ever felt seen by a Taylor Swift lyric, or had a friend in college that Travis Kelce reminds them of, there seems to be a vested interest in imbuing America’s Sweethearts with the aura of a “normal couple.” Therefore quite a lot of hoopla was created this week over a brief shopping trip that Chiefs superstar Travis Kelce made to his local Trader Joe’s store in Kansas City.
It was simply not my style. I don’t want to imply that I’m superior to them. However, Banks stated, “I’m bigger than arguing back and forth with people.” Banks is still the in-game analyst for WFAN’s Giants radio broadcasts. “It serves many other interests of mine when I go about things the proper way. That’s how my brand has developed. I won’t make fun of myself. Going back and forth when a fact is sitting right here as plain as this cup—it’s a cup—is not something they asked me to do. You are able to refute it. I can assure you that it is.
Following co-host Peter Rosenberg’s comment that, given Banks’ credentials, a lot of Giants fans were incensed by the way the show treated him,
Then, famous person Nicole Michalik, a former Biggest Loser contestant, replied to the post. “I won’t claim to have told you so, but I did tell you that our son Travis would ask his girlfriend what kind of snack she wanted,” Michalik said. “And indeed, here he is, moving around.”
From there, the relatable snack run has taken on a viral life of its own. But are we all being a little quick to assume this outing had anything to do with Taylor Swift?
