Zach Frazier Provides Update on Injury
No. 54 begins his road to recovery.
It was a bittersweet ending to West Virginia offensive lineman Zach Frazier’s collegiate career. It ended in pain, but for a second, he ignored it to help his team win the regular season finale over Baylor.
On the game-winning drive, wide receiver Hudson Clement got wrapped up short of the first down marker. Frazier, who injured his leg on the play, picked Clement up and carried him across the chains for a first down, stopping the clock. As soon as the play ended, Frazier recognized he couldn’t go down to the ground or it would cost the Mountaineers more time. He hobbled off and Brandon Yates stepped right in his spot the rest of the way.
