Ben Jacobs has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur hold an interest in Southampton youngster Romeo Lavia, who is also on the wishlists of Arsenal and Chelsea.
Following his switch from Manchester City to the South Coast last summer, Lavia has turned quite a lot of heads in his first season in the Premier League, with the youngster being a rare shining light in what was a season to forget for the Saints.
The 19-year-old not only thrived in the number six role but also filled in at centre-back competently on a couple of occasions.
Football.London reported a couple of days ago that the teenager is on the radars of both Arsenal and Chelsea this summer, with the Blues already said to have reached out to the midfielder’s entourage.
However, the publication asserted that Southampton are standing firm on their valuation of £40m to £50m for the player.
Tottenham are keeping tabs on Romeo Lavia
Jacobs has now asserted that Tottenham are also keeping a close eye on Lavia’s situation this summer.
The journalist said on The Last Word on Spurs: “Romeo Lavia is another name as well, more associated with Arsenal or potentially Chelsea, but Spurs are well aware of his situation.”

Lavia fits the profile for Postecoglou, and Spurs could potentially view him as a backup to Yves Bissouma for the number six role.
However, despite the 19-year-old’s undoubted potential, I doubt Tottenham would consider paying over £40m for someone with just over 30 senior stars under his belt.
