Here’s a look at how everything played out following last year’s offseason now that the dust has settled on the 2023 regular season…

Many fans are frustrated with the state of college football and the transfer portal, but even though the Arkansas Razorbacks sank to 4-8 last season, there is no question they improved their roster when comparing the players they ushered out versus the players they welcomed into the team.

Arkansas had two dozen scholarship players hit the portal, not counting medical hardship Dax Courtney or one-year scholarship linebacker Jackson Woodard. The Razorbacks added 18 transfers, including AJ Brathwaite, who quit the team before the season started. So now that the dust has settled, did Arkansas’ 2022–23 offseason pan out? Here’s a closer look at how everything played out for the Razorbacks.

Mississippi State is putting together a new football staff as Coach Jeff Lebby begins his first year as the Bulldog head coach.

Mississippi State head coach Jeff Lebby is on the job and working hard to put his staff together in advance of the NCAA contact period that opens on December 1st and the NCAA transfer portal window that opens on December 4th.

The NCAA allows FBS football programs to have ten on-field coaches as part of their staff. We are expecting some new names to emerge in the coming days and we will share what we learn and what we hear about each positional coach. At this time, it is not known how Lebby will structure the staff.

Sources have shared that the offensive and defensive coordinator hires are expected to have some input when it comes to coaches on their respective sides of the football. Coach Zach Arnett’s staff was constructed a bit differently, as some with ties to Mississippi State and/or Arnett were offered positions prior to Kevin Barbay’s hiring as the team’s offensive coordinator.
