Brown, a former NFL receiver, was an associate head coach and wide receivers coach for the Badgers in 2023, having joined Luke Fickell’s staff from Cincinnati.

Prior to that, Brown had been with the Bearcats for four years, including 2022, where he was the team’s passing game coordinator, in addition to having the wide receivers coach role.

In the hiring announcement, Notre Dame announced that Brown will begin his coaching duties immediately and will be with the Irish wideout group throughout the preparations for the 2023 Tony the Tiger Sun Bowl.

At Cincinnati, Brown helped develop NFL receivers Alec Pierce, Tre Tucker, and Tyler Scott. Then, at Wisconsin, Brown helped develop slot receiver Will Pauling, who broke out in 2023 with 66 catches for 694 yards and four touchdowns, earning him All-Big Ten honors.

With Brown no longer with the program, the Badgers will look to find another receiver coach, who will look to coach a room that has now lost Chimere Dike and Skyler Bell to the transfer portal.
