Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes got off to a hot start this season before things went off the rails. The coach seems to have learned his lesson, however, based on his recruiting efforts.
Jordan Seaton, the top-ranked offensive lineman in the 2024 class, confirmed Friday that he is committing to the Buffaloes, giving Sanders a major recruiting win at a position of need.
Seaton is hardly the first offensive line addition Sanders has made since the season ended. Earlier this month, four starting FBS offensive linemen announced that they would be transferring to Colorado, giving them an array of experienced options up front.
Sanders was not subtle about saying the offensive line needed to improve. In October, after Shedeur Sanders was sacked six times by UCLA, Sanders outright said he intended to “go get new linemen” once he was able. He has certainly followed through on that.
The recruiting period has not gone flawlessly for Colorado. However, getting better in the trenches should provide Colorado with a much firmer foundation for improvement going forward.
