NFL fans demand Cincinnati Bengals’ Logan Wilson is ‘suspended’ after injuring three Baltimore Ravens
Three of Wilson’s tackles led to Ravens players ending up needing medical treatment.
As such, NFL fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to debate Wilson’s game.
“Logan Wilson needs to be ejected,” wrote one fan.
A second said: “Logan Wilson needs to be suspended indefinitely. He is the dirtiest player in the NFL and has been for a long time.”
While a third added, “Throw Logan Wilson out of the league,, lol.”
However, not all felt Wilson’s plays were dirty.
“Wilson did absolutely nothing but play clean football,” one tweet read.
A second said: “Y’all better not make Logan Wilson out to be the bad guy. The man is just playing football.
As a third asked, “Should the linebacker not tackle?”
One of Wilson’s tackles saw him pull off what appeared to be a hip-drop tackle on tight end Mark Andrews at Cincinatti’s four-yard line in the first quarter.
Clearly in pain, Andrews stayed down before he eventually made his way to the locker room for an X-ray.
He was subsequently ruled out of the game.
Then in the second quarter, Wilson tackled quarterback Lamar Jackson on the sidelines, which also sent him to the medical tent.
Jackson was able to return to the game on the following drive.
Fast forward to the fourth quarter, and Wilson brought down receiver Odell Beckham Jr. after a 51-yard gain, tackling him from behind.
Beckham Jr. immediately looked uncomfortable as he too headed for the tent, and subsequently the X-ray room, before being ruled questionable to return.
He appeared to have a brace on his shoulder shortly afterward.
But Thursday proved to be a rough night for both teams when it came to injuries.
Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow left the game in the second quarter after grabbing his right hand or wrist in pain following a throw, during which he was not hit by an opponent.
His hand appeared to be swollen, leading to concern from fans, and he was eventually ruled out of the game with a wrist injury.
Cincinnati cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt also left the game in the second half after suffering an injury to his left quad.
