Melbourne Storm star Ryan Papenhuyzen is set to make his long-awaited return from injury during Melbourne’s round 26 clash with the Titans after getting through Friday’s captain’s run unscathed.
Papenhuyzen’s comeback would end more than 400 days since his last NRL appearance after suffering a gruesome knee injury in round 18 last year.
The 25-year-old shattered his kneecap while making a tackle on Canberra’s Jack Wighton and underwent surgery. He then endured a year-long “lonely” rehab period.
