Aston Villa vs Manchester United live highlights and reaction as McTominay scores huge late goal

On Sunday afternoon, Manchester United will play Aston Villa in the Premier League.

Villa posed a significant threat to United, but Erik ten Hag’s team is almost fully healthy and there’s a sense that momentum is developing ahead of the last stretch of the season.

After suffering a knee injury against West Ham, Lisandro Martinez was sidelined and replaced by Raphael Varane. Due to an injury sustained during training, Aaron Wan-Bissaka was also unavailable for selection.

Villa had a lively start to the game, but after 16 minutes, Rasmus Hojlund gave United the lead with a header from a corner that Harry Maguire had won. The Reds led at the half thanks to two excellent stops from Andre Onana.

Midway through the second half, Douglas Luiz pulled one back for United, but in the last seconds, replacement Scott McTominay headed in a cross from Diogo Dalot to win it.

Onana, Dalot, Varane, Maguire, Shaw, Casemiro, Mainoo, Fernandes, Garnacho, Hojlund, and Rashford are the members of the United XI. Subs: Antony, McTominay, Forson, Eriksen, Amad, Amrabat, Evans, Lindelof, and Bayindir.
