Raiders to hire former Dolphins head coach Joe Philbin as senior offensive assistant
Antonio Pierce’s staff in Las Vegas is getting a senior NFL coach and former head coach. Joe Philbin, a former head coach of the Dolphins, is joining the Raiders as a senior offensive assistant.
After serving as the offensive line coach with the Cowboys for three seasons, Philbin left the league to coach in the NFL.
Before accepting the position as head coach in Miami, he spent five seasons as offensive coordinator after joining the Packers in 2003 and worked his way up to that position in 2007.
From 2012 to 2015, Philbin led the Dolphins as head coach for four seasons. Since then, he has worked as an offensive line coach for the Cowboys and Colts, spending one season in that role in Green Bay.
