Mangione leaves Penn State University after a four-year collegiate career to join the Orange and Blue. Mangione was among the program’s most prolific goal scorers when he left the Nittany Lions, finishing with 31 goals, which is 13th most all-time at the university.

In his Nittany Lion debut in 2020 against the University of Maryland, Mangione made an impression by scoring the game-winning goal and dishing out one assist. As a freshman, Mangione would score six goals in 11 games.

Mangione was used as one of the team’s main scoring threats in his sophomore campaign in 2021. He scored seven goals in 21 games and won Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. Mangione received the yearly distinction for the first time as a Penn State athlete since 2014.

Mangione scored eight goals in 16 games during his junior year, making it his most productive goal scoring campaign. For the first time, Mangione led Penn State in goals scored during that season, finishing with a 32 percent conversion rate.

Mangione scored ten goals and led the team for the second straight season in his final year at Penn State, marking the first time in his Nittany Lion career to reach the double-digit goal milestone. Mangione also made career highs in goals that won games (6), shots on goal (22) and points (24).

The prolific attacking midfielder earned multiple honors throughout his Penn State career, including three nominations to the All-Big 10 First Team, a spot on the Big 10 All-Freshman team, and a mention on the 2022 Hermann Trophy short list.
