Video: Derrick Henry Says Goodbye to Titans Fans After Last Game Before Free Agency

After the Titans Final game of the 2023-24 campaign on Sunday, running back Derrick Henry said his potential last goodbye to Titans fans.

“I hope I was an inspiration to all the young kids,” Henry said.

If it was his final game for the Titans, it capped off a legendary eight-year run in Tennessee. Drafted by the Titans in 2016 out of Alabama, Henry racked up 9,502 rushing yards and 89 touchdowns during his time with Tennessee. He moved all the way to No. 2 in franchise history in rushing yards, just behind Eddie George.

Following the game, Henry gave what could be his final message to fans.

While it’s not yet clear whether Henry will join a new team in free agency, he’ll be looking for a team that is willing to take a chance on a running back who is likely past his prime at 30 years old. Henry showed this year that he can still be productive on the field, but obviously his age is something that teams will consider.

Regardless, Henry ended what could be his final season with the Titans on a positive note, racking up 153 yards and a touchdown on Sunday.
