The Titans have suffered a significant loss with Delanie Walker’s horrific injury against the Dolphins.
Tight end for the Tennessee Titans Delanie Walker was placed on injured reserve the day after sustaining a season-ending injury against the Miami Dolphins. Walker was unable to get up after a Dolphins defender tackled him, causing his leg to impact.
Walker was given an air cast for his leg, and a waggon was summoned right away. That typically indicates a possible bone fracture, which is what his diagnosis included:
Walker has established himself as one of the Titans’ most dependable receivers in recent years. Walker has gained at least 800 yards in every season since 2014, with a season high of 1,088 yards in 2015. His departure would be a significant blow to the Titans’ offence, which relies heavily on young players to carry the passing game.
Walker was not the only Titans offensive player who suffered injuries during their seven-hour, 27-20 loss. Marcus Mariota, the quarterback, suffered two injuries during the game, but is expected to recover. Taylor Lewan, the offensive tackle, also left the game and is currently undergoing concussion protocol.
The Titans, who have few options at tight end after Walker, had a difficult day.
