The Ada County Sheriff’s Department detained Jaylen Clark, a cornerback for Boise State, in January on suspicion of violence and false improvement, severe assault, and attempted strangulation. Those are felonies, the first two charges.
Clark is formally no longer a member of the Bronco football program, the program announced to local media earlier this week.
Clark was released on bond shortly after his arrest. Boise State suspended Clark indefinitely in the following days
Later this month, Clark has a plea hearing, according to reports from The Idaho Statesman.
For the Broncos in 2023, Clark started 13 games while playing in the boundary corner position. Throughout his collegiate career, he has 13 passes defensed and two interceptions. The Tacoma, Washington native, 21, was a three-star recruit in the 2019 class.
The spring game for Boise State is set for April 20.
