As part of the 2024 signing class, the Boise State football team formally welcomed 18 new players on Wednesday. Additionally, this group may live on in memory for a very long time.
Not for skill or star status, but rather for a team that remained loyal to the Broncos in the face of a wild 2023 campaign and a head coach change.
Five-star Gatlin Bair was the only commit lost by Boise State after Andy Avalos was fired on November 12; in fact, the team added several commits during Spencer Danielson’s tenure as interim head coach.
“This list includes great young men who want to live in Boise, in addition to really good football players,” Danielson stated. “They all had the chance to go.”
Is there one position the Broncos still want to add? Taylen Green signed with Arkansas, therefore the quarterback to take his position will come from the transfer portal.
Danielson stated that if a quarterback was a good fit, Boise State would add him.
As we speak, Danielson stated, “We’re working on it.” It’s clear that we will be focusing on it moving forward. It all comes down to fitting right.
According to HuskerOnline.com, reports that Nebraska quarterback Chubba Purdy was using the transfer portal and that “Boise State is a possible landing spot” first surfaced late on Wednesday.
