Fields, who struggled as a passer in Matt Nagy’s final season as head coach, was selected by the Bears with the 11th overall choice in 2021 out of Ohio State. As a rookie, Fields was a standout on the ground.
He leaves with a three-season record of 10–28 after completing 578 of 958 passes for 6,674 yards, 40 touchdowns, and 30 interceptions as a starter. In addition, Fields has 356 carryouts for 2,220 running yards and 14 touchdowns.
