Boogie Fland And Somto Cyril Officially Sign With Kentucky

Both of Kentucky’s current 2024 commits made it official earlier this week. One of the top guards in the class, Boogie Fland, and Somto Cyril, a big man who has monster size, both signed with Kentucky on Wednesday, National Signing Day of the early signing period.

2024 commits Boogie Fland and Somto Cyrel have signed their national letter of intent to play for the Kentucky Wildcats.

Fland was the first to make it official, holding a signing at Stepinac High School. Calipari went all in on the prized guard, leading him to choose Kentucky over Indiana and Alabama. A guard who can really shoot, his ball handling is also really efficient.

Cyril followed Boogie Fland’s announcement, as OTE officially announced the signing on Wednesday afternoon. With a 6-foot-10, 250-pound frame, Cyril is a monster on both of ends of the court. Physically he is hard to match with his incredible size to go along with the skill, a college-ready big. So far at OTE this season, Cyril is averaging 11.6 points, 11.7 rebounds (leads OTE), and a staggering 3.6 blocks (leads OTE) per game.

With Cryil and Fland now signed, Kentucky has two foundational pieces as they look to round out the 2024 class. Looking at Kentucky’s position within the class, the Wildcats are in good positions for VJ Edgecombe, Karter Knox, Billy Richmond, and Jayden Quaintance. Many of these prospects are now expected to wait until this spring to make a decision.
