CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – Star University of Virginia basketball point guard Reece Beekman has posted on Instagram he’s forgoing his final year of eligibility and declaring for the NBA draft. It’s an unsurprising development as he tested the waters this time last year for the draft, then elected to return to UVa for

another year. There has been little doubt that last season would be his last in college basketball as he developed his offensive game in the year’s time. Beekman was ACC Defensive Player of the Year for the 2nd straight year after locking down star players on opposing teams over his entire tenure.
