Arlington Renegades Re-Sign Marquis Lucas, Cut Brandon Rusnak
A few additional movements have been made by the Arlington Renegades. They released DB Brandon Rusnak and re-signed OG Marquis Lucas.
Help is needed for the offensive line, particularly in light of Dru Samia’s injury. Marquis Lucas has experience playing spring football. He started out with the Orlando Apollos in the AAF. With one of the best attacks in the league, the squad went 7-1 while he was a player in five of their games.

In 2020, Lucas relocated to the XFL from there. The Tampa Bay Vipers dissolved after five weeks, despite the fact that he started two of the team’s five games.
For the past two years, Marquis Lucas has been with the New Orleans Breakers in the USFL. He’s been an important piece for a team that made the playoffs in back to back seasons. During 2023, Lucas started in eight of 10 games, helping Wes Hills achieve the modern USFL rushing record.
In the 2023 USFL season, Marquis finished with a 69.2 Offensive Grade via PFF. He was with Arlington during Training Camp, having been released during the final cutdowns.
