Saskatchewan Roughriders rookie camp kicks off in Saskatoon

The Saskatchewan Roughriders’ rookie training camp has begun in Saskatoon, marking the beginning of the team’s pursuit of a Grey Cup.

Corey Mace, the head coach of the Roughriders, stated on Wednesday, “This is what you wait for.”

This is the first season that Mace will be assessing candidates for the CFL roster in his role as head coach.

“As staff, it’s great to be here for the first time, and it’s even better to see these guys practicing,” Mace remarked.

The team is looking to right the ship after back-to-back disappointing seasons in which they missed the playoffs.

Ajou Ajou, a 2024 draft pick, is one of the many new faces trying to make an impression during camp.
