NORTHAMPTON SAINTS PROP PAUL HILL AIMING TO ‘FINISH ON A HIGH’ IN GALLAGHER PREMIERSHIP AHEAD OF BATH CLASH
Paul Hill, a prop for Northampton Saints, wants his team to win the Gallagher Premiership right now so they can round off the regular season strong. In the next play-offs, Saints are assured a semi-final spot, and Hill is anticipated to be ready for their encounter this Saturday against Bath, who are in third place and battling for their own destiny.
Northampton Saints prop Paul Hill aims to top the Gallagher Premiership table but is unconcerned by which team he faces in the play-offs.
Saints are top of the table with one game remaining, and travel to third-place Bath on Saturday.
They are currently four points ahead of second-place Saracens, and are certain to play their semi-final at home.
Saints have not won the title in a decade, and speaking to the BBC, Hill made it clear he wants to finish the league campaign on a high.
“For myself and a few other players, it’s a chance to finish on a high, finish the league off, finish in top position,” he said.
“You play the team in front of you. What’s the point of me worrying about who I’m going to play? There’s no point doing that. Just play what you see.”
