Nearly ten years have passed since the F1 icon was last seen in public, but former Ferrari CEO Jean Todt has spoken about his close friend Michael Schumacher once more.
In a skiing accident that occurred in December 2013 in Meribel, France, Schumacher sustained a serious head injury.
In the ten years afterward, the seven-time world champion’s health has been obscured by secrecy, as his wife Corinna is adamant about preserving his privacy as he heals.
The most consistent source of information regarding the German has been Todt, who collaborated with Schumacher throughout his incredible five-title run from 2000 to 2004. Todt has acknowledged that he has watched Formula One races with Schumacher in the past, and the Frenchman has now spoken about the Ferrari legend once more.
This week, Todt said to L’Equipe, “I don’t miss him because Michael is here.”
“But he’s just not the Michael he was a year ago.” He is unique and brilliantly directed by his children and wife, who look out for him.
“Now that his life has changed, I get to spend special times with him. I have nothing more to say.
