South Carolina freshman forward Sahnya Jah, who was previously suspended on February 8th for behavior deemed detrimental to the team, has now entered the transfer portal. Coach Dawn Staley declined to provide further details regarding the suspension, indicating that Jah could potentially return to the team in the future. Staley announced Jah’s decision to transfer on Monday, expressing regret that her time with the team was cut short but wishing her success in her future endeavors. Jah, a 6-foot forward from Alexandria, Virginia, was ranked as the 40th best college prospect in her class last year. She played in 16 games this season, averaging 3.1 points and 2.0 rebounds. South Carolina, currently holding the top seed in the NCAA tournament with a perfect 32-0 record, will begin their campaign on Friday against either Sacred Heart or Presbyterian.
