On Thursday, Kentucky head coach Mark Pope added his ninth transfer portal player, BYU’s Jaxson Robinson, to the Wildcats’ roster ahead of the 2024-25 season. Pope was facing a full-on rebuild when he accepted the job nearly two months ago, and he’s done a tremendous job of quickly turning nothing into a possible Top 25 group.
Just how good of a job has he done? Well, according to our friend Evan Miyakawa of EvanMiya.com, Pope has crafted the fourth-best incoming
transfer portal class in the country. Miyakawa ranks four of UK’s nine transfers as five-star prospects, four as four-stars, and one as a two-star.
The only schools ahead of Kentucky are (in order) St. John’s, Louisville, and Vanderbilt. Additionally, only one other school has brought in four five-stars this offseason, the Michigan Wolverines. Seven of Kentucky’s nine incoming transfers rank among the Top 100 portal prospects.
