Several of AC/DC’s most popular singles regularly find space on one or two Billboard charts. The Australian rock band can almost always be found on several lists in the U.S., and sometimes, their performance is even more impressive. This week, one of the group’s most successful cuts finds its way back to a list they know well–and it’s a smash once more.
AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long” is back on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart this frame. The tune returns to the ranking of the bestselling hard rock tracks in the U.S. at No. 9, instantly earning another week as a top 10 hit.
“You Shook Me All Night Long” has previously peaked at No. 2 on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart. It’s spent 480 frames somewhere on the tally, which now features just 10 spaces after being shortened some months ago.
AC/DC fills two spaces on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales ranking this week, giving the band control over 20% of all available real estate. They nearly conquered the ranking once again, as “Thunderstruck” keeps at No. 2. That track has ruled in the past, but this time around, it was once again held back by the current reigning champion, “All My Life” by Falling In Reverse and Jelly Roll.
“You Shook Me All Night Long” appears on a pair of Billboard charts this week. In addition to the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales list, it can also be found on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs ranking, which, as its name reveals, is focused only on the most-streamed cuts in the country that can be classified as hard rock in terms of genre. It currently sits at No. 3 on that ranking, where it doesn’t budge a single spot.
On this week’s Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, AC/DC lays claim to one of three tunes that mount comebacks. “You Shook Me All Night Long” is the lowest-ranking of the bunch. Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” reappears at No. 5, while Guns N’ Roses’ “Sweet Child O’ Mine” is back at No. 7. Both of those tracks have spent more than 600 turns somewhere on the list.
