Reynolds’ top five choices, revealed earlier this month, included Memphis, East Carolina, Michigan State, Colorado State, and Georgia Tech. He ultimately chose the Pirates following his official visit last week.

“East Carolina was a perfect fit for me,” Reynolds said. “I’m surrounded by a supportive community and a loving coaching staff. This feels like home because this feels like family.”

As a junior at Sonoraville, Reynolds caught 21 passes for 296 yards and two touchdowns. The Phoenix had a 3-7 overall record last season in AAAA Region 7. Reynolds earned first-team all-region and all-state honors. His Twitter bio mentions he is a first-degree black belt in karate and has a 36-inch vertical leap.

Reynolds is the second true tight end in ECU’s 2025 class, joining Kaleb Morrow from Apex High School, who committed in mid-June. Three-star athlete Stephen Collier also has tight end capabilities but is expected to be used as a flex hybrid receiver. ECU has 19 public commitments for the 2025 class, which is ranked 70th overall by 247Sports. Seven of the committed prospects, including Reynolds, are from Georgia.

Tight ends coach Hunter MacKay, along with offensive coordinator John David Baker, recruited Reynolds.
