I remember in his breakout year 2018 he was doing more 200’s to work on his top end. In the Brussels Diamond League he ran a 9.79 and the year later same thing, he improved his pb to a 9.76 i think yes it’s mental but also could be a lack of 200’s too
He made the right choice to sack his coach …. Because it’s been soo sad watching him not qualify for tournaments … the dominant 9.76 that won the worlds in 2019 , it’s now hard for him to even run 9.8s consistently
I agree with you going to Dennis Mitchell will change the latter part of his race for the better…once he works on that he can compete and stay up with the likes of Kishane Thompson and Oblique Seville…yes he is explosive out of the blocks….
It’s more than tensing up and tightening his shoulders. He over-pushes at top speed, lengthening his ground contact times, reducing his knee lift, and striking the ground too far in front. This destroys his top speed and speed maintenance which is why he’s always getting run down. Sha’Carri Richardson IMO has the best top end mechanics and is coached by Mitchell so I think this is a great match for Coleman. He’ll clean up his form and he’ll be super dangerous next season. Watch out!
Coleman already did is best throughout his Career but the younger generation has arrived, he is definitely too tense at the end of his races, he got know when to relax and flow and stop pressing too hard to finish

Christian Coleman need to fire somebody because we all have been watching him. He’s getting slower not getting faster. His explosion off the line A+ best in the game. But his speed has vanished. That’s not the same Christian Coleman I seen in the past. This man didn’t even make the Olympic trial 100 I was shocked!!
So he FIRED his Coach and he NOT going to the Olympics in an OPEN EVENT???!!!! What will a new Coach Help him do besides make it 1st leg on the relay in Paris?? i’m just asking. Next 4 years, possibly but I doubt it.
Not gonna happen, but would love to see Coleman in the enhanced games and take those millions that billionaire Peter Thiel is offering to break Bolt’s 9.58, its the only way 9.58 will ever be beat anyway. Coleman seems like he has the kinda build too that would be a hyper-responder to the and we know he can beat Bolt over 60m but is lacking that power over the last 40m, not just technique imo.

I don’t know what y’all problem is, but Richardson don’t have time to be worrying about some dude trying to get back in the mix. And then the so-called ‘source’ can’t be trusted. how is she the only person that recognized the two in Budapest at the only McDonald’s downtown during an important meet? Sounds like some ol made up s***. And, Sha’Carri is bold. Why would she hide a relationship? She clearly only cares about winning not what people think about her.
Dennis Mitchell is a perfect fit for Colman. As Rae properly states, Dennis is not a teacher, but one of those coaches who takes talent and brings out the best in it. Christian should be DOMINATING the 100M left and right undefeated, but keeps losing himself at the last 5M after being ahead by far the entire time! His talent is there…he caught and passed Bolt from behind…no one without talent can achieve that! He needs one little thing fixed in his race pattern, and once he fixes it, he can easily be on top. Dennis is a great option for CC.
