The 28-year-old originally from Northland has been released from the last two seasons of his contract with Penrith on compassionate grounds so he can move back to New Zealand to be closer to his family.

“It’s a huge signing for us, undoubtedly one of the biggest in our club’s history,” Warriors CEO Cameron George said in an official release.

“To be able to add a player of his calibre and standing to our squad is a tremendous boost for 2025 and beyond. He’s such a highly-respected player and leader.”

Fans have been going bonkers in the comments, with one writing: “Whoever is responsible for the warriors’ recruitment lately deserves a pay rise.”

The three-time Premiership winner brings a wealth of experience to the Warriors and will be welcomed home with open arms by a ssionate fan base. How bloody good, UP THE WAHS!
