Pittsburgh Steelers announce Hall of Honor Class of 2024
The Pittsburgh Steelers have been busy with practice at Saint Vincent College during the team’s annual training camp, but one aspect of the yearly trip to Latrobe has been the announcement of that year’s Hall of Honor class.
On Saturday, the Steelers announced the Class of 2024 which included:
- Casey Hampton
- Jason Gildon
- Willie Parker
- Dick LeBeau
When it comes to the criteria for the Hall of Honor, players must be retired for three seasons, and also had to play a minimum of three years with the Steelers. This honor is not just for former players, but also contributors like scouts and coaches. There were 27 players induction in the first Hall of Honor class in 2017 with either four of five selections per year since that time. With the induction of these four members, the Steelers Hall of Honor will now include 57 members.
Every season the Steelers have a special presentation for these members of the class at a home game. This year that game will be the game vs. the Cleveland Browns on December 7th.
Be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes on the Steelers as they continue to prepare for the 2024 regular season.
