Rod Stewart has postponed two additional shows following the cancellation of his 200th Las Vegas show due to illness. The announcement came on Friday night via social media. Stewart, who is recovering from a summer strain of COVID-19, expressed regret for the postponements.

Fans expressed their disappointment in the comment section, with some criticizing the timing of the announcement. “Four hours before it starts is so unfair,” wrote one follower. Another mentioned, “Second time going to his concert, only to have it canceled.”

Earlier, Stewart had canceled his Las Vegas show on August 7 due to illness. He expressed his regret on social media: “I’m desperately sorry to miss this 200th show celebration. Most people can work with strep throat but obviously not me.”

Despite the setbacks, Stewart announced that he would return to Las Vegas in 2025 for “The Encore Shows” at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The dates for these shows are March 12-22 and May 29-June 8, with tickets going on sale soon.

n a recent interview, Stewart discussed the health measures he takes to keep performing. “The older you get, the more you have to do that. Water has a hell of a lot to do with it. But no, you think I just have water on my rider? We go mad after every show… and I make them drink. We absolutely love it.”
