Eindhovens Dagblad reports that Leicester City have submitted an offer for Swansea City striker Joël Piroe.
The Foxes are keen to get the deal done as they look to build a squad capable of gaining promotion back to the Premier League.
Piroe scored 19 goals in 43 Championship appearances for Swansea last season. The 23-year-old former PSV striker could soon be swapping southwest Wales for Leicester.
Piroe joined Swansea City from PSV in the summer of 2021.
The former Netherlands U20 international has since featured 92 times in all competitions for the Swans, scoring 44 goals. He can play as a striker or on either wing.
If Leicester City are able to sign Piroe, he could help the Foxes fly back up to the Premier League as he’s a proven goal scorer at Championship level. Last season Joël Piroe’s goals helped Swansea to a tenth-place finish. Clubs in Italy are also said to be interested in the striker.
