Clark signed on three-year deal

Erin Clark, a center forward from Gold Coast, has signed a three-year contract that will expire at the end of 2027, and he will return to the One New Zealand Warriors.

After returning to the Titans for his first-grade career, the junior player for the Manurewa Marlins is getting close to 100 NRL appearances.

His only game before departing the Warriors midseason to sign a three-year contract with the Canberra Raiders was his NRL debut as a 19-year-old in 2017.

Later that year, he left elite rugby league and returned to Auckland to play football locally for two years until joining the Titans in 2020.

According to Andrew McFadden, general manager of recruiting, routes, and development for the New Zealand Warriors, “Erin wanted to come back home after five years away for compassionate reasons.”

He now has the opportunity to get back in touch with the Warriors, where his career as an under-20 player started.

“His career didn’t start out the way he had hoped, but since getting another chance in the NRL, he has been so impressive.”

Used in the second half of his NBA career with the Warriors, Clark returned to the NRL in 2020, starting 10 games for the Titans as hooker or sitting on the bench.

He has played as a middle forward since late 2022, mainly off the bench. In 2024, he averaged a career-best 100 meters and 22 tackles per game (with just 14 missed tackles over the whole season).

Head coach of the One New Zealand Warriors Andrew Webster stated, “Erin was a player with lots of ability and was coming through our NYC system when I was first here.”

Although things didn’t work out for him at first, he did a fantastic job with his second shot. He has grown into

Clark was named within the Kiwis’ amplified squad for the mid-year Test against Mate Ma’a Tonga in Auckland in 2022.

He wrapped up with 94 matches for the Titans counting 84 of a conceivable 96 diversions over the final four seasons (and all 24 this year). He made 45 NYC (under-20) appearances for the Warriors in 2015, 2016 and 2017 also 15 UnusedNew Zealand Container diversions in 2016 and 2017.
