On Tuesday, here at Vital Luton Town, we covered the Hatters first signig of the summer.

Our article – luton-town-announce-first-summer-signing – welcomed the capture of the out of contract Rotherham United winger, Chiedozie Ogbene.

Since then it has been relatively quiet on the speculation front.

However, yesterday, news broke that, as we had all hoped, Amari’i Bell had put pen to paper on a new deal, with Luton Town.

Now, earlier this summer,we ran an article expressing just how we felt about Amari’i – a-candidate-for-unsung-player-of-the-year – such is his worth to the team.

Strangely enough, his game has improved dramatically by switching to the left-side of a back three, the move necessitated by injuries to, last season, Sonny Bradley and Reece Burke.

Fitting in alongside Tom Lockyer, Bell has been a revelation with his surging forward runs enabling Luton to turn defence into attack.

However, I’m not the only one who recognises his worth to the side, with social media awash with praise for the Jamaican international:

Now, with a new season fast approaching, a season that sees our return to top-flight football, Amari’i has the opportunity to step up to another level, a far cry from the days when he first joined our club and supporters of his previous club, Blackburn Rovers, questioned his status as a defender.

Like many who come to Kenilworth Road, the coaching staff nurture them and turn them into top-notch players, Amari’i Bell is one such player.
