Just in: Dave Mustaine announce a devastetind news due to…..

MEGADETH has issued a strong rebuttal to Peter Frampton’s recent statements regarding the cancellation of their respective concerts at Virginia Credit Union Live! in Richmond, Virginia, last week. The iconic heavy metal band canceled their show on September 15, citing “unexpected and unpredictable circumstances” in a social media post, with no plans to reschedule. Just two days later, Frampton announced the cancellation of his concert scheduled for September 17, also citing “unforeseen circumstances” and apologizing for any inconvenience caused.

The situation gained traction when Frampton addressed the cancellations during a performance at The Met in Philadelphia on September 19. He mentioned that MEGADETH had completed a soundcheck just days before his scheduled show, and implied that structural damage to the stage was linked to their activities. “I’m not blaming them — could have been another band — but it looks pretty like it,” Frampton said, adding a light-hearted apology to MEGADETH.

In response, MEGADETH’s publicists released a detailed statement to clarify the misunderstanding. They emphasized that the band never had the opportunity to soundcheck due to safety concerns. According to the statement, a rigger for MEGADETH discovered damage to the venue’s steel grid while preparing to hang lighting. This prompted immediate discussions with the venue and promoters, leading to the conclusion that it would be unsafe for the band to perform. The team determined that the grid could not support the weight of the equipment, posing serious risks to the band, crew, and audience.

Dave Mustaine, MEGADETH’s frontman, expressed his disappointment regarding Frampton’s comments, stating, “It seems Frampton was misinformed about our show being canceled. The decision was purely based on safety. It’s disappointing when someone you admire talks out their ass about you.”

The exchange highlights the challenges of live event productions and the complexities involved when unexpected issues arise. With both artists emphasizing safety, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of clear communication in the music industry. As fans await further updates, both bands have encouraged their audiences to seek refunds at the point of purchase.
