News Now: I’m done Ravens flock head coach announced…….

Despite the loss of former All-Pro tight end Mark Andrews to an ankle injury, the Baltimore Ravens have been able to keep the position an integral part of their potent attack on offense — thanks to second-year dual-threat Isaiah Likely.

The Coast Carolina product earned five catches on seven targets for 83 yards and a touchdown in Sunday’s 37-31 overtime win over the Los Angeles Rams. It was Likely’s best statistical output of the season. He produced one of the game’s most aesthetically-pleasing highlights by hauling in a 54-yard touchdown reception late in the first quarter. The 23-year-old went in motion, shedding each of his defenders in the process. After delivering an impressive stiff arm, he had a cleanly wide-open down the sideline for the score, which gave the Ravens 7-3 lead.

Likely’s progress is an encouraging sign for the certainly playoff-bound Ravens. In addition to a deep, versatile group of wide receivers, his production ensures that the position will continue to find life while the team is temporarily without the services of Andrews.

Of course, Likely flashed signs of his prowess during his rookie season. He was selected by the Baltimore Ravens in the fourth round (No. 139 overall) of the 2022 NFL Draft. While he suited up for 16 games last year, his standout performance came in Week 18. Likely had eight receptions for 103 receiving yards in the 27–16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He finished the campaign with 36 receptions for 373 receiving yards and three receiving touchdowns.

Despite entering the season as the clear-cut second option, Likely has proven himself capable of handling the alpha duties at the position. While receivers Odell Beckham, Jr. and Zay Flowers will be prioritized in the offense, Likely should keep a consistent role for the rest of the regular season.
