7 players Leicester City will sign for nothing this summer
231 players Leicester City could sign for nothing this summer
The latest Leicester City transfer news as the start of a new month means that out-of-contract players are now officially available on free transfers
The summer transfer has sparked to life for Leicester City and for clubs in England as they look to do business ahead of the 2023/24 season.
For City it is a big window, the sale of James Maddison to Tottenham has brought £40million to the club. City are looking to add to their squad too with the imminent arrival of Conor Coady and Harry Winks.
But relegation to the Championship is bound to have some strain on finances as City look to cut their wage bill as well as rebuild their squad for the new season under new manager Enzo Maresca. One market they could turn to is the free agent market.
July 1 – today – means that players are now officially able to sign for other clubs on a free transfer, with their contract expired. It also means that the likes of Youri Tielemans, Caglar Soyuncu, Papy Mendy and Daniel Amartey are no longer City players.
As players search for new clubs ahead of the 23/24 campaign, here is a list of 231 players who have been released by Premier League and Championship clubs who have not already sorted their futures.
