TuttoMercatoWeb have claimed that Bayern Munich and Tottenham Hotspur are in ‘constant contact’ over Harry Kane and are negotiating to reach an agreement.

Over the past couple of days, we have relayed multiple reports stating that Bayern are expected to make a second offer for Kane after seeing their opening offer of £60m plus add-ons turned down.

This includes an update by The Evening Standard on Thursday, which claimed that Bayern are willing to bid as high as €100m (£86m) for the Tottenham star.

However, the report alleged that Spurs want ‘want at least £100m’ to part ways with the England captain this summer.

It was also asserted that Kane would be open to a switch to the Allianz Arena if the two clubs can agree on a deal.

Spurs and Bayern in constant contact about Kane

TMW have now also backed Bayern to make a second offer for Kane and they reveal that the Bavarian giants are in continuous talks with Tottenham over a deal for the 29-year-old.

The report alleges that the two clubs are working to agree on a deal which would be worth a guaranteed €80m (£68.7m), which is short of the fee that Spurs initially demanded.

Spurs Web Opinion

I do not expect Levy to budge at £70m but if Bayern can offer £80m plus performance-related add-ons, I suspect that the Spurs chairman would seriously consider a sale.

I hope the situation is sorted out quickly one way or the other as Postecoglou needs clarity on the makeup of his squad heading into the season and the club would require time to bring in suitable replacements if the striker does depart.
