Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen on signing Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha during the summer transfer window.
According to a report by The Sun, as relayed by HITC, Tottenham Hotspur are likely to compete with West Ham United in the race to sign 28-year-old Portuguese international Joao Palhinha from Fulham this summer. The Cottagers want £40-50 million for their prized possession.
Joao Palhinha was a key player for Fulham last season after making an immediate impact in the Premier League following his move from Sporting CP. Tottenham could certainly use someone like him in the middle of the park. But it remains to be seen whether they come forward with their concrete proposal to sign the player.
The midfielder is reportedly valued between £40-50 million. And Tottenham certainly have the financial resources to pay that kind of money for him. The Portuguese international is at the peak of his powers, and he will look to make his mark at a big club. The opportunity to play for Tottenham will be an attractive option for him.
