Nottingham Forest’s interest in São Paulo midfielder Pablo Maia is today highlighted in the Brazilian media.
It’s journalist Daniel Perrone who, on São Paulo Sempre, features some updates on the future of the 21-year-old.
The story claims there’s actually a long list of clubs who currently ‘monitor’ the midfielder. Besides Nottingham Forest, the likes of Atletico Madrid and a few other Premier League clubs are all interested as well.
The interesting point here is that he has something extra to say regarding the chase from the Tricky Trees.
It’s pointed out that Nottingham Forest already have two Brazilian midfielders in their squad, who are Danilo and Gustavo Scarpa, both signed this year. And it’s also claimed that the Reds have ‘already probed’ him ‘for some time’, meaning they’re ‘certainly in the running’ for his signing.
Maia’s departure from São Paulo this summer is a reality, and Globo Esporte also features a story on this subject today.
They claim the club are ready to negotiate him in case they receive offers worth around €15m. So we’ll wait and see if the interested clubs are willing to put that much money on the table.
