Fulham will earn around £10million per season from their front-of-shirt sponsorship deal with SBOTOP, Football Insider understands.
The Cottagers announced on 28 June that they have partnered with global betting brand SBOTOP as their front-of-shirt and principal partner for the 2023/24 season.
The official club statement confirmed that the sponsorship agreement was a ‘record’ deal for the London side.
Fulham were previously partnered with another betting company in 2022/23 in the shape of W88, who also paid a record fee at the time to appear on the club’s kit last season.
However, SBOTOP have topped that figure, with Football Insider sources understanding the new deal to be worth around £10million per season.
The agreement between the two parties will only be short-term, with the Premier League voting in April to ban front-of-shirt gambling sponsors by the start of the 2026/27 season.
However, SBOTOP CEO Bill Mummery seemed to suggest that the two parties could be partnered for multiple years.
“Jointly, we look forward to increasing both our brands’ awareness on a truly global platform in the coming seasons,” Mummery said.
The SBOTOP sponsorship agreement is set to provide a significant boost to Fulham’s commercial revenue for the 2023/24 season.
The Cottagers posted sponsorship revenues of £9.5million in their 2021/22 accounts and £11million in 2020/21.
Fulham’s agreement also involves in-stadium brand presence for SBOTOP at Craven Cottage, which could be a potential avenue for the parties to continue business after the Premier League’s front-of-shirt gambling ban comes into effect.
