Nottingham Forest target Dean Henderson has now officially been left out of the Manchester United squad for their game in Norway against Leeds. The Reds are hoping to sign the custodian during the summer transfer window.
The news has been confirmed on United’s official website this afternoon. Henderson will remain in England and now a move looks almost certain to take place.
Forest will hope to tie up a deal for Henderson pretty quickly. It will see the club fill an important position ahead of the new campaign and they would love to have him for most of pre-season.

This is very telling indeed. Forest have been linked with the player all summer long and given that he won’t play in Wednesday’s game, his future now looks bleak.
It’s not really surprising that his future at United looks non-existent. When he signed for Forest on loan last summer, he slated United over some broken promises the season previous.
Henderson was a decent addition to the Forest ranks. He made 20 appearances and keep six clean sheets; the most of any goalkeeper outside the top six during that particular period.
Disaster struck in January for Henderson. He took a routine goal kick against Leicester and tore his thigh, cruelly ending his season after requiring surgery.
Henderson spent his time on the sidelines at Forest. He cut a nervous figure during the final home game against Arsenal when Forest secured their Premier League status.
Forest now have genuine chance to sign Henderson
The writing looks to be on the wall now for Henderson at Old Trafford. Forest are surely in the box seat to sign him and a deal could be close.
It’s been claimed for weeks that Henderson wants the move to Forest. Now, it’s surely only a matter of time until a transfer happens.
Forest would be getting themselves a quality stopper if Henderson does get over the line. He was brilliant during the loan spell and having him permanently would be an amazing boost to the squad.
