Finally, we have our white smoke. The EFL have completed their ratification of the 49ers Enterprises takeover of Leeds United and a new era can start at the club. Andrea Radrizzani’s time as the club’s custodian is over and in his place are a collection of investors, headed up by new Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe.
Whites’ supporters are well aware of a number of investors in the club with Marathe sitting on the board since 2018 and serving as vice-chairman since 2021. Marathe is President of 49ers Enterprises & Executive Vice President of Football Operations.
The 49ers Enterprises already had already held a 44 per cent stake in the club, which they increased back in November 2021. Now Leeds United can look forward to a new future, with the takeover saga behind them. 49ers Enterprises have the 11th wealthiest sporting investment group in the world according to Forbes.

Paraag Marathe
As expected, the President of 49ers Enterprises has been installed as chairman at Leeds United but his own net worth is unknown. The 49ers Enterprises are worth $5.97 billion according to Forbes.
Peter Lowy
Peter Lowy – a Leeds United director – counts his father as one of Australia’s wealthiest men. Forbes estimate Frank Lowy’s wealth to be $5.3 billion.
Collin Meador
Like Marathe, Collin Meador’s net worth is unknown but is part of 49ers Enterprises that are worth $5.97 billion.
Justin Thomas
30-year-old Thomas has had a hugely successful career and won two golf majors – the PGA Championship twice – and has played in the Ryder Cup twice. Thomas, a former golf world number one, is 10th on the all-time PGA Tour’s earnings list – with an estimated net worth of $60 million.
Jordan Spieth
Another big-name golfer, Spieth has won three major Championships – The Masters and US Open in 2015 alongside the Open Championship in 2017. Ranking 7th on the PGA earners list, Spieth is estimated to have a net worth of over $120 million due to his significant deals with sponsors.
