Chelsea‘s fourth and penultimate match of their USA pre-season tour sees the Blues meet West London rivals Fulham in Sunday’s Premier League Summer Series clash at FedEx Field.

Mauricio Pochettino‘s side drew 1-1 with Newcastle United in their most recent friendly battle, while the Cottagers fell to a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa, and here Sports Mole rounds up the team news for both sides.

Rangers duo Leon Balogun and James Tavernier have sent messages of support to Calvin Bassey after the former Ibrox star completed his move to Fulham.

Former Rangers defender Calvin Bassey has joined Fulham from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

According to BBC Sport, Premier League club Fulham have paid Eredivisie outfit Ajax a transfer fee of £19.3 million for the 23-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a centre-back.

Bassey joined Ajax from Rangers in the summer of 2022.

Sky Sports reported in July 2022 that Ajax paid Rangers an initial transfer fee of £19.6 million for the Nigeria international defender.

Rangers paid Leicester City £230,000 for Bassey when they signed him back in the summer of 2020 (SkySports).

During his time at Rangers, the Nigerian youngster won the Scottish Premiership title in 2020-21 and the Scottish Cup in 2021-22.

Bassey also helped Rangers to the final of the UEFA Europa League in 2021-22.

The defender made 20 starts and five substitute appearances in the Eredivisie for Ajax last season.

The 23-year-old scored one goal and gave three assists in those games.

Bassey also played twice in the UEFA Europa League and gave two assists in six UEFA Champions League matches for Ajax last season.

Rangers duo Balogun and Tavernier are pleased to see Bassey make the move to Premier League club Fulham in the summer transfer window, as you can see below.

Bassey told Fulham’s official website regarding his transfer: “I know how big of a club Fulham is.

“They always have quality players, they’re playing in the Premier League, the best league in the world, so I didn’t have to think much about it.

“It’s a London club as well, so it’s always a plus to go home! I’m happy it’s all done now and I can just focus on the football and help the team build on last season, when they did amazing.”
