Nottingham Forest in talks over move for Turner as Arsenal step up Raya pursuit
Steve Cooper’s side are in the market for a new number one after Dean Henderson returned to Manchester United following his season-long loan at the City Ground.
Forest have been linked with a move to bring Henderson back to the City Ground, however they’ve now branched out their search.
The Garibaldi Reds will be keen to kick on this term after avoiding relegation in their first season back in the Premier League.
Turner, an American international, has endured a frustrating time since joining Arsenal back in 2022, playing second fiddle to first choice shot-stopper Aaron Ramsdale.
In that time, the 29-year-old has made just seven appearances for the Gunners, all of which have come in the Europa League or FA Cup.
With Forest looking for just one goalkeeper this summer, a move to Cooper’s side could see him earn more regular first team football.
It could also pave the way for Arsenal to bring in David Raya from Brentford, with the Gunners looking to bring the Spaniard to north London as competition for Ramsdale.
The Bees value Raya at £40million and appear unwilling to budge on that valuation.
